CITY OF LAKE STEVENS NOTICE OF LAND USE APPLICATION for a Conditional Use Permit/ Design Review Application PROJECT NAME/ FILE NUMBER: Lake Stevens High School Modernization / LUA2017-0169 APPLICANT: Lake Stevens School District PROJECT LOCATION: 2908 113th Ave NE / AFN: 29060600402000 and 29060600402400 DATE OF APPLICATION: December 6, 2017 NOTICE OF APPLICATION ISSUED: February 14, 2018 END OF COMMENT PERIOD: February 28, 2018 PROPOSED PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Lake Stevens School District is requesting a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to add approximately 32,000 square feet to the High School with two primary additions, an academic building and a new athletic building. Other areas of the existing campus are proposed to be modernized including changing location of parking areas and areas devoted to portable classrooms. The proposal requires a conditional use permit and design review in addition to building permits. The project will be processed as a type III land use review process and will include a scoping meeting. The Design Review will be completed by taking the project before the Design Review Board. The Lake Stevens School District will be the lead agency for environmental review and will issue a SEPA threshold determination.
