CITY OF MILL CREEK NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Mill Creek, Washington, for: SEATTLE HILL ROAD PRESERVATION FEDERAL AID #HIPUL-2576(007) Work includes full width grind and overlay with HMA on a 7,100 feet long, 3-lane arterial street, replace damaged median curbs, upgrade all sidewalk ramps to current ADA standards, upgrade two traffic signals with ADA pushbuttons, traffic control, and update one rectangular rapid flash beacon to current accessible pedestrian signal standards and miscellaneous items as further shown, described, and indicated in the Contract Documents. The estimated cost of the work is approximately $1,300,000. Please note the required time of completion in Section 1-08.5 of the Special Provisions. The project has a UDBE goal of 12%. Bid Opening Bids must be completed and received at City Hall, 15728 Main Street, Mill Creek, Washington, 98012, on or before the following time (City clock) to be considered valid. Bids will subsequently be opened and publicly read. Bids may be mailed or delivered in person. Electronic or faxed bids will not be accepted. Date: Thursday, January 30, 2020 Time: 10:00 AM The City of Mill Creek reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, for any or no reason, and to waive irregularities and informalities in the bidding process to make the award to the lowest responsive Bidder. All Bidders must meet the mandatory and supplemental bidder responsibility criteria as set out in the Bid and Contract Documents. The City of Mill Creek in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR, Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
