Citizens are reminded that Planning Commissioners are volunteers and do not work for the county. As the


legislative body, the County Council has decision-making authority.

February Joint Meeting of Tulalip and County Planning Commissions: Discussion


 


County planning commissioners that attended the February 22, 2017, joint meeting of the Tulalip and County


Planning Commissions will brief those commissioners unable to attend and discuss possible future activities.

Pedestrian Facilities: Briefing

Staff Report (dated March 16, 2017) including:


-Attachment A: Proposed Pedestrian Facilities Code Amendments


Staff will provide a briefing on proposed code amendments updatingSnohomishCounty’s regulations for


pedestrian facilities. The proposed code amendments clarify the requirements to provide pedestrian facilities


such as sidewalks internal to a development. The Planning Commission is tentatively scheduled to hold a


public hearing on the proposed code amendments on April 25, 2017.


 


G. ADJOURN


PLANNING COMMISSION’S RANGE OF POSSIBLE ACTIONS:


 


At the conclusion of its public hearing, the County Planning Commission will consider transmitting a formal


recommendation to County Council concerning adoption of the proposal. The Commission may make a


recommendation to adopt or to not adopt the proposal. The Commission’s recommendation may also propose


amendments to the proposal. The Planning Commission is an advisory body and the final decision rests with


the County Council.
