NOTICE OF LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY
(Pursuant to Snohomish County Code Title 30.70.050(2),
this notice is being issued for the land disturbing activity part of this project)
Project Name:6th Avenue WestPedestrian Improvements
Project Number: RC1712
Project Description:SnohomishCountyPublic Works (SCPW) proposes to construct three sidewalk segments
totaling 610 linear feet on6th Avenue West, south of164th Street SWin theMarthaLakearea. The purpose of
the project is to improve safety conditions for school children walking to nearby schools. The project does not
require any right of way acquisition, and no utility relocations are anticipated. The project will require a Land
Disturbing Activity permit; the preliminary excavation and fill quantities are 80 cubic yards of excavation and
245 cubic yards of fill. Fill will consist of gravel borrow, crushed rock, asphalt, and cement concrete.
Project Location: Two of the sidewalk segments are located on the west side of6th Avenue Westsouth of
164th Street SW, and the third segment is in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of6th Avenue Westand
170th Place SW, in unincorporated Snohomish County - Section 12, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, W.M.
Type of Project: Public Works Project – Pedestrian Facility/Sidewalk
Project Completeness Date: At this time, the project is scheduled for construction in October/November 2016,
with a duration of 5 to 6 weeks.
Permits/Approvals Required: Land Disturbing Activity Permit.
