NOTICE OF LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY AND SEPA THRESHOLD DETERMINATION

Project Name:35th Avenue SE: SR524 to180th Street SEPhase II Corridor Improvements


 


Project Number: RC1629


 


Project Description:SnohomishCountyPublic Works proposes the following improvements to a 1.5 mile


section of the35th Avenue SEcorridor between180th Street SEand SR 524: road widening to three lanes


with a 12-foot two-way left-turn lane, 11-foot outside through lanes, 5-foot bike lanes, 5-foot landscaped planter


strips 5-foot sidewalks, curb and gutter, retaining walls, and a traffic signal at184th StreetSE. Drainage


improvements would include storm-water conveyance, detention, and water quality treatment. Utilities would


also need to be relocated in order to accommodate the proposed improvements.


 


Project Location: The project site is located in unincorporatedSnohomishCounty, southeast of the City of


Mill Creek. The project site is along35th Avenue SEbetween180th Street SEand SR 524 (Maltby Road),


a distance of approximately 7,500 feet. It is located in Sections 17 and 20, Township 27N, Range 5E, WM of


SnohomishCounty.

Permits/Approvals Required: Land disturbing activity permit; other applicable federal, state and local permits


 


SEPA Decision: On January 17, 2018, Public Works determined that this project does not have a probable,


significant adverse impact on the environment and has issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS). An


environmental impact statement (EIS) under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c) is not required. This decision was made


after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with this agency.
