Project Name: Public Works Geotechnical Exploration Program Project Number: N/A

Project Description:SnohomishCountyplans to conduct geotechnical field explorations for proposed Public

Works projects. These geotechnical explorations will be done to evaluate and characterize subsurface

conditions and to collect soil samples. The information developed from the subsurface explorations will

be used in developing project design recommendations for stormwater management systems, bridge

foundations, slopes, walls and roadways. Subsurface explorations may be generally grouped in three

classifications: (1) mechanized borings, (2) mechanized excavations (test pits), and (3) manual excavations.

Project Location: Exploration sites will occur throughoutSnohomishCounty. Projects that may require

geotechnical exploration within the time frame of the Programmatic Checklist include, but are not limited to,
